Derek Fisher totally fouled Brent Barry last night and got away with it. Yet, a rational being will isolate notorious kung-fu kicker Bruce Bowen and karate-choppin’ Robert Horry as the reason for this. Hell, it’s simply karma, man. And with the likes of referee Joey Crawford’s team, something like this was bound to happen between the Spurs and the Lakers. Remember the 0.4? So, what’s the blogosphere saying about it?

Slam! Online poses a question:

The Lakers outplayed the Spurs, who looked tired at home. Somehow the game came down to one final shot. You saw what happened. The non-decision was Joey Crawford’s, who famously clashed with Pop in the previous round, and once ejected Tim Duncan for looking at him (seriously). Do we have another controversy/conspiracy?…

With Leather is celebrating a fabulous non-call:

The referees avoided the dark temptation of bailing out the Spurs and contact-averse Brent Barry for ducking away from an obvious foul by Derek Fisher prior to a last-second chuck for naught to close the Spurs 93-91 loss to the Lakers, the first playoff loss in San Antonio in longer than I care to remember. This was a loss that could have easily and probably should have gone the other way. When referees say they don’t want to influence the outcome of the game, it’s another way of saying they’re too chickenshit to even call clear infractions during closely contested important games. That said, SPURS LOSE SPURS LOSE SPURS LOSE SPURS LOSE COKE AND HOOKERS PAR-TAAYYYYY!…

Pounding The Rock advises Spurs’ fans to just sit back and take it up the kazoo:

Please don’t Spurs fans. Just don’t. Yes, it was an obvious foul on Derek Fisher. Yes, it should have been two free throws. But, but, but:
1. Derek Fisher’s shot with 5 seconds left, the one that hit the Corpse of Robert Horry’s knee and went out of bounds, grazed the rim. The shot clock should have been reset, forcing the Spurs to foul. This would have changed everything.
2. The goal tend call on Lamar Odom with under a minute left was incorrect. It looked correct at game speed, but the replace clearly showed he got the ball before it hit the rim. This would have changed everything.
3. Kobe Bryant shot the ball 29 times. He took 0 free throws.
Complaining about free throws is just grasping at straws, like a vanquished foe begging for their life. It’s unbecoming.

We think San Antonio should blame everything on Bruce Bowen and move on. But, you be the judge.

Was it a foul? Or can we move on?
