Food Time: Japanese Baseball Games Brand Their Lunches.

We’ve been to a multitude of baseball games over the years and when it comes to stadium-fare, nachos and hot dogs–along with the occasional bag of Cracker Jack’s and peanuts–are the quintessential gourmet food at the ballpark. In Japan, however, gourmet is the name of the game. Take the hamburger at the Tokyo Dome. Not only does your burger come with a bun, but there’s also a giant “1″ etched on it for validation that it’s the best fucking burger you’re ever going to eat. If that doesn’t cut it, then maybe a shumai lunch made up of shrimp dumplings, rice and some other crud we can’t decipher from the picture will invigorate your palette. Frankly, that’s too fancy for us. All we need to decorate our meal is extra cheese and extra meat. Have you ever had a torta mojada at a ball game? It’s insanely gratifying and torturous. What do you eat at ball games?
