Athlete’s are known to throw fits. They are especially prone to tantrums in soccer. Yet, Samuel Eto’o angrily denounced that he deliberately tried to miss the classic derby between Real Madrid and Barcelona last week. And though he’s managed to return with gusto, Barcelona fans have treated him like a disowned son. Now, Eto’o wants out. Bad.
His ire was evident after scoring Barça’s second goal of the evening when he chased the ball into the net and began to kick it as heard (sic) as he could before glaring at the stands.
After the game he was said to be furious and has now indicated that he is seriously considering leaving after instructing his agent to listen to see what is on offer abroad, according to Sport.
Though injury plagued, he’s still only 26. If the sentiments in Spain are similar as they are in Madrid, then Samuel should look towards, um, Greece. He’d really kick ass there. Check out video of Real Madrid’s new chant for Samuel. It might catch on in Barcelona.
They say “cabron” in Spain? Weird.
