Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana, Thai tennis twins, went into action when their hotel caught on fire in Bordeaux yesterday. The duo, who were in the city to play in a tournament, went room to room with wet towels over their faces to help guests out. They even came to the aid of rival Argentine doubles specialist Lucas Arnold Ker and his family. So, if you’re ever in Vegas and see that the Ratiwatanas are playing Ker later in the day, we would go ahead and play the money line.

But the brothers then ignored their own safety to help Yannina Ker, and her five-year-old son Nacho, who were in danger.
“The Ratiwatanas put towels in water and gave one to me and one to my son to put over our nose and mouth,” Yannina told www.atptennis.com.
The twins insisted they were not heroes.

“We were starting to gag on the smoke when she opened her door, which allowed us to get a fresh breath. I don’t know how much further we could have made it,” Sonchat said.
“It was a scary situation.”

Why? Shouldn’t they be used to these types of harrowing situations by now?
