Are you a sports fan (you’re reading this, so we’re going to assume so)? Have you thought about what you want done to your body after you go to the overtime in the sky? Being buried with your old team jersey is so early-00’s, so why not join the trend of millions… ok, tens… of people who have decided to get their ashes thrown on the field of their favorite teams, like Eagles fan Christopher Noteboom (pictured) who ran onto the field and threw his mom’s ashes onto Lincoln Field three years ago. Other places that have seen family members spread the dead are the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, LSU’s Tiger Stadium and even Dallas Stadium, their “no scattering policy” be dammed!

Al Everest, now the special teams coach for the San Francisco 49ers, ran into - and around - the Cowboys’ no scattering policy years ago.

Everest’s namesake uncle Al, was a big Cowboy fan and knew his football-oriented family - his brother Andy was a coach and his nephews played and coached football - would always think of him when they saw Texas Stadium if his ashes were scattered there.

“I’d had his ashes for a couple of years and my sister Kathy and brother Tom finally decided to do something about it,” Al Everest said. “There might have been some liquid refreshment involved, but they took Uncle Al’s ashes to the stadium and scattered them on the flowers outside the gate.”

Yeah, it’s not as cool as the inside of the stadium, but then again you don’t have to worry about Jessica Simpson cursing your relatives in the afterworld.
