Hey Chippers,
After realizing that a full day of fun in New York City can set me back three months, I’ve decided that an opportunity to live in Mexico City had to be taken. And considering I love this job way too much–and our fearless publisher is the most understanding boss ever–I’ll be publishing from the nether regions of North America from here on out. That’s right, Mexico City is now my home.
I’ll be blogging from one of the most volatile and culturally vibrant cities in the world, with Aztec ruins as my backdrop and the ghost of Cortez haunting me. Hopefully I’ll never encounter “Montezuma’s Revenge.”
You all know we’ve hit a new stride, and we’re glad to report that more of your are reading, which means we’re doing something right. Even the comments have gone up and we’re thankful for that (but we want more!). So, I’ll do my best to keep the Chip snarky and fun for ya’ll, but don’t worry, I’m not going to concentrate entirely on Mexico’s sports. Stories about Nereida Gallardo and skateboarders smashing their cojones against electrical wire will still be a top priority for me.
Nonetheless, feel free to email me advice, tips, comments and/or anything you freakin’ want at alejandro[at]machochip[dot]com. Right now I’m wondering why I allowed Barrio Chino in the Lower East Side to charge me $8 for three tacos. I just paid $3.70 for three tacos and a beer. Damn this is going to be good.
