Croatian Fans Offer Hibbiddy-Dibbiddy In Exchange For Euro 2008 Tickets

When Croatia take on Turkey in Euro 2008 quarterfinals later today, it will be a historic event for their country. Croats have never gone beyond the final eight (neither have the Turks but they aren’t doing anything exciting yet), so if they get passed an upbeat Turkish squad–a team that displaced a heavily favored Czech Republic squad–it will be the first time in their history that they reach the semifinals of a European tournament. That’s cause for great celebration and exaltation, right? Or how about great, um, whoring? From Javno:

Thousands of Croatian football fans have occupied Austria. We met a group from Zagreb who had no tickets. On their t-shirts they wrote: “We f**k for tickets, and my brother Robert too!”.

Now read that text on the right out loud in a Croatian bar tonight. But who would indulge in the loins of non-ticketed Croatian nationalists? Yeah, we guessed Ronaldo’s transvestites, too.
