- Euro 2008: Turkey advanced to their second quarterfinals in Euro history after succssfully completing a comeback win against the Czech Republic. Down 2-0 with only fifteen minutes to go, Turkey rallied to score three goals against Petr Cech’s goalkeeping. The scoring was capped by Nihat Kahveci amazing 89th minute strike that hit the post and fell into the net. Turkey 3, Czech Republic 2. [LA Times]
- NBA Finals 2008: Hey, guess what. The Los Angeles Lakers relinquished a huge lead to the Boston Celtics again. This time, however, the Lakers bench stepped up, Lamar Odom didn’t pout too much and Pau Gasol was angry. Yet, there are three simple words that encapsulate the Lakers destiny: pick and roll.
