Michael Ballack Wages War Against WAGs

Distractions can come in many forms for athletes: booze, drugs and parties are the most notorious of culprits. So, when Germany lost to Croatia in the first game of their Euro 2008 campaign, Michael Ballack decided it would be best if Mrs. Ballack stayed home in Germany because wild sex with the hot wifey could be a distraction as well. And since he’s the captain, that meant a team-wide ban of WAGs would be implemented until Germany’s bid for a title was over. Well, the WAGs didn’t listen and now Ballack is furious.

Ballack and his senior sidekick Torsten Frings were still fuming that the rest of the squad spent the day after their defeat against Croatia last week - which left their quarter-final place on a knife-edge - with their WAGS.
Ballack and Frings were the only two who did not see their partners because they wanted to stay focused on football.
