Yeah that headline joke is lame, but Oscar De La Hoya did interview with PBS talk show host Travis Smiley last night, where he talked about his book (American Son: My Story), his first and only fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his inevitable retirement this year. We tried searching for transcripts of the interview to no avail, so we’re guessing he went on a tirade against Milana Dravnel and those photoshopped tranny pictures that caused a major raucous last year.

Actually, we’re sure he talked about his business ventures with Golden Boy Promotions, his stake with the Houston Dynamo and his love for East L.A. The latter is usually what he always talks about.
In the clip below, Oscar confirms that he’ll only fight once this year, and that he’s really hoping it’s with Floyd Mayweather Jr. And so do we. We don’t want to pay $49.99 for him to fight Ricky Hatton. If he’s going to go out with a bang, win or lose, then it should be to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
