Might the PS3 be getting a new motion-sensing controller in the near future? Thats the rumor going around the Interweb this afternoon. The initial rumors suggested a controller with the ability to break apart, one with Wii-like motion-sensing. That seems to have been rubbished as the day progressed, and now it seems the controller won’t be “break-apart-able” (is this even English?) at all.
Er, what?

Right now, it looks like the controller, which could see its debut at next month’s E3 (the video game trade show of sorts), will instead consist of a portion that connects to your body and multiple, smaller “satellite” parts that connect to, say, your hands, feet, head, etc. Basically, one part connected to your trunk and several connected to wherever they need to be.
Keep in mind, this is all wild conjecture at the moment, which is partly what makes it exciting. No where near as today’s Holland v. France game, though, that’s for sure. Whatever you do today, look for those highlights.
