Adidas has released a cross-promotional ad campaign overseas with their mobile pals Au and there seems to be something distinctly haunting about their new graphic. Do you see it? There. Look. It’s smacking you right in the face like a Nazi World War II SS lightning bolt logo. Oh, well there you have it. Apparently this has gone unnoticed, but Adidas–a German company–is probably aware. Our advice: look to Las Vegas. When Chinese tourists complained about the giant lion they had to walk under when they arrived to the MGM Grand, Las Vegas owners convened in their mob bunkers and removed the sculpture. So, Adidas should probably pull this campaign and start from scratch so there’s no trouble once the anti-defamation league gets a hold of it because, as far as we know, there aren’t too many swastika graphics rolling around out there on Chinese made products. And hey, the Chinese consider that a symbol of good luck.
Disclaimer: We don’t want to show the German SS logo in it’s original form because we’re sensitive to people’s feelings. So, yeah. Google the fucker if you want to compare.
