Apple’s Steve Jobs announced the iPhone 3G nearly a month ago, but we had no idea how much the monthly plans would cost. Until today, that is, for AT&T has finally revealed the many different plans from which you can choose. As you might expect, they’re all pretty damn expensive. C’est la vie.

You’ve got four iPhone 3G plans to pick from. All plans include unlimited data transfer (checking your e-mail, browsing the Web, etc.) but zero text messages. The cheapest will run you $70 a month, and includes 450 “anytime” minutes and 5,000 night & weekend minutes. A step up from that is the $90 a month plan, which gets you 900 “anytime” minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. Next is the $110 plan, for which you get 1,350 “anytime” minutes and unlimited nights and weekends.
The unlimited, all-you-can eat plan casts $130 a month. Add unlimited text messages for $20 ($5 gets you 200 texts, while $15 gets you 1,500 texts) and you’re looking at $150 a month for a cellphone.
Apparently the money men at AT&T don’t have to pay for gas nowadays.
