Beach Volleyball Is Fant-Ass-Tic

One of favorite Simpsons jokes is when Homer, to relay to Marge that he’s in the mood for love, mentions that he’s been watching women’s volleyball on ESPN. We laughed because it’s true–there’s nothing like watching long legs in little shorts bouncing around for an hour, and especially true for beach volleyball because where else can you see a bevy of athletically toned asses without risking a restraining order. So when NBC said that their Olympic coverage was going to use up 3,600 hours of airtime, we assumed that the nighttime hours between 12-6 AM were just going to be blocks of beach ball to pull in the highly coveted horny insomniac and 12-18 boy crowd. Oh yeah, and the MachoChip editor demographic. Between the three of us, we’re the ones who keep Papa John’s in business. Who else do you think eats that shit?
