Day Four: Running Of The Bulls: Score One More For The Gore.

The bulls are really stepping it with the goring. One Spaniard was gored in the thigh and an American was knocked unconscious by fighting bulls that weighed 1,500 pounds. Five more people were injured, which brings the tally to somewhere between meh and damn. There was, however, one incident that validates the speculation that some of these revelers are morons.

Early in the course one runner apparently just stopped and turned around to face the animals, and was bowled over violently by one of them.
His decision was perhaps the worst thing you can do at the festival, where the cardinal rule for runners is to keep moving, or, in a pinch, hit the ground face-down and stay there until the pack has moved on.

Everyone will call this guy an idiot (including us) but we’re guessing he survived since there haven’t been reports of a death today. Hence, this will be the greatest story someone could ever tell their future grand kids. And, hey, we have the pictures here so send them future grand kids our way, brah!
