Gilbert Arena’s Pool Is P-H-A-T, Expensive

An athlete is absolutely nothing this day in age without luxurious amenities that make the rest of the world immensely envious. Take every single damn report we have about Cristiano Ronaldo. He gets all the girls. He has loads of money. And he’s basically free to choose whether he wants to play for the richest team in England or Spain. Yeah. He makes us say the word “asshole” thirty times a day. But Gilbert Arenas isn’t an asshole. He’s actually quite a nice guy. And since he’s a fellow blogger, he’s probably the most envious one ever after photos of his new, posh, $1mil pool surfaced yesterday. From D.C. Sports Bog:

* The stone for the “mountain” cost nearly half a million dollars.
* There are three different fish tanks, one going in the “grotto,” one in the front hall, and one in the basement. Their normal retail price would have been about another half-million.
* The tank in the basement will have a recess with a couch in it so Gil can “relax and look up at the fish.”
* The work is scheduled to be finished in August.

With all the parties, ladies and bukake-fests about to go on in that grotto, we hope urge Arena’s to implement some world-class sterilizing in that sucker. Pictures of the pool below.
