So we understand that in this economy and environment, the populace as a whole would want to blow off a little steam. But appararenly the M-60s that some guys in Chicago set off over the holiday weekend didn’t do it for them. They’ve decided to go all macho and get in the ring and recreate Fight Club, minus the bleach-blond Jered Leto and the bi-polarism. Just kidding. We’re talking white collar professionals here, so there are plenty of mental issues to go around (but, alas, no white belts).

Not everyone is comfortable with the term “white-collar boxing.” But that’s what it is: lawyers, accountants, doctors, even CEOs blowing off steam with some blows to the abdomen.

Yeah, actually we can’t wait for the first ruptured spleen and the littany of lawsuits that come from that.

“No matter if you’re a white-collar boxer or doing it pro, you’re still getting hit,” he says. “It takes some courage to get in there and have a punch thrown at you.”

Yes, except white-collar boxers punch keys all days, not punching bags, so it is a lot different. You want our advice, guys, stick what you’ve been doing since your frat days–get too drunk at a bar and fight each other out of spite. It’s a lot more ego-boosting and memorable… well, when you sober up and remember it.
