When he’s not hobbling to night clubs and dodging Paris Hilton, Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to decide what he’s going to do in the future. Like in five months. But while he’s making up his mind, his current Manchester United club isn’t just twiddling its thumbs. They’re currently in pursuit of Alexis Sanchez, a Chilean playing in Serie A that has made the EPL champs take notice. But it seems that it’s going to take a few more churrascos than what the Devils are offering to make this 19-year-old switch leagues.
United’s attempt to sign the Sanchez, 19, have stalled after the wonderkid’s agent confirmed a bid had been rebuffed. Fernando Felicevich said: “The figure rejected by Udinese was very important.
“It was around two months ago and it was not just an enquiry, Manchester United also presented an offer, but it did not meet the requirements of Udinese or Alexis so it was rejected.”
Despite having yet to play a competitive game for Udinese, the Italian side value Sanchez at £16 million and see him as a key part of their plans next season.
£16 million! for a kid who’s never played in-season? Apparently Manchester United hasn’t heeded the words of their EPL brethren Arsenal and brought those prices down. Oh well… bring on the loose women for young Mr. Sanchez!
