It’s iPhone 3G Day: Who’s Waiting In Line?
11 July 2008, 11:55 AM. By Alex Ferreyra

Today’s the day! The iPhone 3G is officially released today, available at your local Apple Store and AT&T Store. Yes, you have to go to the store to pick up it, as it’s not available online; you have to activate it in person.
We’ve been on top of the new iPhone, officially called the iPhone 3G, since its announcement one month ago. At its unveiling, several companies showed off applications, including MLB At Bat. (One of us is putting that on our iPhone now, so stay tuned.) Right now, that looks to be one of the better iPhone applications. If you’re into Twitter, you’ll want to check out Twitterrific.
Not everything is going off without a hitch, though. There are reports that AT&T is having trouble activating phones in some of its stores, possibly because of a server problem. Real smart, AT&T. You’ve had how long to plan for this?
Remember, if you’re looking to get one on the cheap, you might as well get one with a 2-year contract, since waiting for the contract-less one actually costs more money.
That, or try Craigslist. Old iPhones are now selling for like $150-$300 there now.
So now we want to know: are any of you going to wait in line for iPhone 3G?
