Manu Chao Sings “La Tombola” To Diego Maradona

Of all the serenades in all the world, we think Ritchie Valens singing “Oh Donna” over a public telephone has got to be the greatest. But this Manu Chao rendition of his own song “La Tombola” (a song that cites Diego Maradona as its inspiration) is a close second since Diego Maradona is present for the serenade. Though, we’re not sure if he’s too comfortable about it. 1) It looks like he wants to cry. 2) It appears that he’s perplexed as to why some Spaniard/French dude wrote a song about him. We love this song (always have) but we’re slightly uncomfortable with this video.
