N.E.R.D and Neptunes frontman Pharrell Williams is getting sick of the ink on his body. Now that he’s getting into the chi-chi world of fashion, the super producer has decided all the body art commemorating his love of things like… um, fire… must go. But he’s not going the laser route like the reformed convicts on those A&E programs. He’s on some Face/Off science stuff, deciding to get his skin grown to get stitched over his tatts to hide them. Oh, did we say Face/Off? We meant Silence of the Lambs. Ugh.

“It’s basically like getting a skin graft, but you’re not taking skin from your ass or your legs. These guys actually grow the skin for you,” he explains. “First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that’s been done, they sew it on - and it’s seamless. It’s going to be pricey, but worth it,” he says. “I got fire on my arms! I’m a grown man!”

At least he saw the light. After the jump, five athletes who we think could use some of that skin grafting. Who do you think needs it the most?
