We assume the next game between the Dayton Dragons and the Peoria Chiefs is not going to exactly be as action-packed as yesterday’s was. That’s because when all said and done, these two minor-league teams saw one player suffering a broken leg on a play and leave on a stretcher; a bench-clearning brawl that saw 15 players get ejected (and then brought back on to avoid the pitchers having to play in the outfield because the teams would be shorthanded); and that brawl started by one Julio Castillo, the Cheifs’ starting pitcher, who threw at someone in the opponents’ dugout, but his aim was so bad that he missed, and the ball richocheted into the stands, where it hit one fan in the face. And that’s why Mr. Castillo was arrested last night for felonious assault. My lord, the season finale of Lost didn’t have this many plot points. A video of the brawl after the jump, if you like to see dudes throwing haymakers in the air.
