Upgrade Your iPhone, Download Apps Right Now
10 July 2008, 12:40 PM. By Alex Ferreyra

The new iPhone comes out tomorrow, but you can already upgrade your current iPhone with the new firmware. The relevant file was found by snooping around Apple’s Web site, which must annoy Apple to no end.
You upgrade your iPhone just like you’ve done in the past. Sync your phone in iTunes, then apply the upgrade within iTunes. Now you’ll have access to the App Store where you can download all sorts of applications to expand your iPhone experience. There’s applications for Facebook and AIM, to name two that we’d probably install ASAP. There’s an MLB app, too, called MLB at Bat. Note that not all of these applications aren’t free—the MLB app costs $4.99—, but at most you’d be spending no more than a few dollars

Tomorrow’s the big day! If you want to avoid long lines, you might want to wait till after work to head on over to AT&T or the Apple Store to get yours.
