Friends. If you’re an athlete, you sometimes can find them useful when they’re not using up all your money or calling you too stupid to take steriods. For Rampage Jackson, they became a possible lifesaver yesterday when his pals dropped a dime on him to police about his erratic behavior. So police went to his house to send him to a mental hospi… (sound of screeching record). Wait, his house? Didn’t he just lead police through two cities on a OJ-type chase where he banged on a lot of cars and almost hit people? Don’t you permanently go to jail for stuff like that?
Jackson was booked for investigation of felony evading, reckless driving and hit and run, and released on $25,000 bail
Oh. I guess life is a lot like Grand Theft Auto than we thought. Sorry, back to the story.
Irvine police went to Jackson’s home Wednesday after his friends told authorities they were “concerned about his behavior and some remarks he was making,” Lt. Rick Handfield said Thursday. Officers spoke to him to evaluate whether he was a danger to himself or others,” Handfield said. “He was detained and was taken to an area hospital for mental evaluation.”
Handfield declined to elaborate, citing privacy restrictions.
Well, why don’t we try, shall we in a passage that’s pure fiction. After losing to his UFC belt to Forrest Griffin earlier this month, Jackson started drinking and using “medicinals” to get back into shape to totally get the belt back. But he used everything in excess, leading him to a spiraling mental decline where one day (Wednesday) he decided to take police on a wild goose chase throughout Southern California. The End.
Or he could just really be crazy, which is what we assume everyone who goes into an octagon is, anyway.
