Get Ready For BlizzCon 2008

October 10th and 11th just got a whole lot more interesting for gamers, especially if the phrase “Zerg Rush” means anything to them. That’s when Blizzard will host its annual BlizzCon at the Anaheim Convention Center. BlizzCon, for you laymen, is the company’s annual gathering for fans of its games, which include the Warcraft series, Diablo, and StarCraft.
Let’s not mince words: it’s a pretty big deal for fans of those games.
The conference will be especially interesting this year, as Blizzard is developing games in each of the aforementioned series. (We’re actually looking forward to World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and we’re not too embarrassed to admit it.) In addition to spending some quality time with fellow Blizzard fans, you’ll be able to enter different contests and tournaments, with prizes of up to $25,000.
If you’re good enough at StarCraft, you’ll be invited to an invitational.
Price for all this bliss? $100 per ticket. For fans, that’s not entirely unreasonable.
