Get Ready For Your Manny Ramirez Dreadlock Hats

We took this photo on Friday August 1st at Dodger Stadium. It was Manny Ramirez’s first game and, as eccentric as Los Angeles fans usually are, we weren’t surprised by this fan’s entertaining creation. He’d obviously taken his Bob Marley Festival dreadlock hat, wrapped a blue bandana over it and capped it off with a Dodgers hat. Well, now that Manny Mania is hitting Los Angeles, the blue crew’s marketing staff is getting together with the manufacturing peeps and creating the newest Dodger trend since those crazy blue and white wigs.

Manny Ramírez is crushing the ball. He says he wants to finish his career in California. The Dodgers are getting ready to market Manny caps complete with dreadlocks. The local media love Manny. Agent Scott Boras is smiling.

He’s not the only one that will soon be smiling. Owner Frank McCourt didn’t pay a dime to get Manny, and it’s safe to say that as long as Manny is going yard, these hats will be draped on every cholo, mom, visitor and attendee of a Dodgers’ home game for the rest of the year. It’ll truly catch on if Vin Scully dons one.
