Can’t get enough Facebook, the social networking site that’s like a grown-up MySpace but less grown-up than actual human beings talking to each other? Well, now you’re about to get it even away from your computer… or your cell phone… or your TV. Writer Aaron Sorkin–creator of The West Wing, author of A Few Good Men and man who once got busted trying to carry hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana and crack cocaine onto a flight–is starting to write a feature film based on the site. He’s even started a Facebook page to get some tidbits from users… well, he didn’t start it, his assistant did. Hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana and crack cocaine have a tendency to keep people distracted.

Welcome. I’m Aaron Sorkin. I understand there are a few other people using Facebook pages under my name — which I find more flattering than creepy — but this is me. I don’t know how I can prove that but feel free to test me.

I’ve just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented. I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I’ve started this page. (Actually it was started by my researcher, Ian Reichbach, because my grandmother has more Internet savvy than I do and she’s been dead for 33 years.)

Oh man, once Pauly Shore gets here with our Pizza Hut delivery, we’re totally collaborating on a Machochip: The Movie script, unless it’s cold like last time. Then we’d just kick his ass out.
(And remember to sign up for our Facebook page. How meta.)
