Jets Fans Gain Brett Favre, Lose Tailgating Hours And Boobs At The Spiral

When we told you last year about the Jets fans going crazy in the D spiral of the Meadowlands, we never thought they would piss off enough people to warrant wholesale changes. But that’s what happened when members of New Jersey’s government decided that they’ve had enough boob flashing and general debauchery in public (although it’s Jersey, so how can you tell?). So the powers that be have decided to shorten the tailgating hours from seven to five and protect the innocent lasses who showed their boobies to the shouting men by literally putting blinders on.

Last season, security at the stadium’s Gate D was increased at Jets games because hundreds of men would gather at halftime and demand that women expose their breasts. View-blocking banners will be hung on the spiral staircase to help eliminate the problem, which did not occur during Giants games.

Well ooh-la-la. Man, you win a Super Bowl and all of a sudden you get high and mighty. The ring-less Jet fans, on the other hand, have to be protected from themselves.

“Consider this an idiot protection policy for those fans decent and mature enough to enjoy the event without getting trashed,” said [Richard J. Codey, D-Essex]. “For those that were used to overdoing it, hopefully now they will get home safely without endangering others and come to enjoy waking up the next morning and actually remembering the game.”

Yeah, but if you wake up next to the fan who flashed her boobs, doesn’t that count as a win-win situation? You’ll remember the game until at least breakfast.
