We’re not particular to Nike at all, but their ads are some savvy concoctions of nostalgia and drama that always seem to reel in a sports enthusiast. They basically turn sports into something Hollywood usually does with action hero flicks…and it usually works. Big time. They’ve just released a new US Basketball team Olympic ad that includes Marvin Gayes’ memorable 1983 NBA All-Star game interwoven with scenes of the US Basketball Team practicing. We’re already enthusiastic about the team’s inevitable gold, but now we get to snap our fingers and bump some Soul while they’re playing.
