After suffering a horrendous defeat to Greece in the 2006 World Championships, the U.S. team had much to prove themselves against a team that had stifled the Germans in these very games. Good thing Dwayne Wade was around because the guy’s passes were as accurate as a heat-seeking missile, landing in teammates hands for easy dunks and proving a bit too lethal for the Greek defense, leading to a 92-69 victory. The U.S. is now headed to the medal rounds.
So, how far have they come since their bronze medal in 2004? Lebron say’s they’re “10 times better,” but we’ll let the video after the jump make his point.

Play of the tournament, indeed.
