Jamaica’s Usain Bolt became the single greatest sprinter ever when he beat out his 200m competitors with a world record time of 19.30. His feat, standing as the greatest sprinting exhibition since Forrest Gump ran from those bullies, could arguably be up to par with Michael Phelps’ eight gold medals. Of course, you can’t really link the two competitions and Phelps won more gold, but Bolt is now the first and only sprinter to break both the 100m and 200m world-records in the same Olympiad. That, friends, is amazing. Hey, there’s a vacancy over at Wheaties with his name on it. What? Oh. Only American champs? Dude. There’s a first time for everything in these games, right?
Update: The guys at With Leather had a wonderful European version of the race, which we wanted to share here, but unfortunately the man struck down. Guess you’ll just have to wait until tonight to see the race.
