Though we’d rather be reading about Rock en Espanol taking over Charlotte, NC, we couldn’t ignore news of Diego Maradona possibly taking a position on Inter Milan’s coaching staff sometime in November. Coach Massimo Moratti plans to bring Maradona onto his coaching staff for reasons that can only be suspicious.
“There is a great feeling between Maradona and Moratti. The impact was excellent and Maradona is happy with what the Inter chief said about him,” Bagni told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“Diego is currently in Buenos Aires and he will return to Italy in November but if Inter needed him now, he would fly over straight away.”
However, Inter’s plan is to get Maradona to convince his son-in-law to part-company with Atletico should Moratti hire him.
If the reasons to provide Diego Maradona with a coaching gig are so transparent, then wouldn’t Atletico Madrid shun any signs of Inter people from their playing grounds? Next thing you know Diego Maradona will be demanding his surname on the poor kid.
