Don’t you ever wish you could turn back the clocks, swallow your words and rescind your actions the way National Enquirer does every single time they come out with a new issue of their dirty rag? Well, Armenian-born Swede Ara Abrahamian doesn’t want to be held in contempt for his actions during the now infamous medal-tossing fiasco. We thought he was going out with a bang, shattering the Utopian setiments the Olympics wants to convey, and we were excited by it. But now, the guy says he’s sorry and he wants to given a slap on the wrist for telling the IOC to fuck off.
The Swedish wrestler stripped of his bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics for protesting during the medal ceremony filed an appeal Thursday with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Ara Abrahamian, who was disqualified from the games after the protest, asked the top court in international sports to downgrade his punishment to a warning. CAS said it would rule within four months.
First, can we get the IOC to apologize over those “Usain Bolt is not celebrating like we want him to” comments? Also, we forgive you Ara. In fact, we commend you for your blatant disapproval of the IOC. Don’t let us down by seeking their compliments. Throw that medal down!
