Lakers’ Rookie Sun Yue is Mono-rrific! Is Officially Welcomed To Los Angeles

A few hours after Chinese rookie sensation Sun Yue was introduced as the Lakers’ newest addition, he was taken to a hospital and diagnosed with mononucleosis, a.k.a. the clamp you get when making out with every chick you see (or guy) on Sunset Blvd. It’s actually better he gets diagnosed now than in the playoffs. Because you know he’d be romping throughout Santa Monica soon enough and he’d catch the disease anyway. /Guy from LA chuckles.

Rookie guard Sun Yue has tested positive for mononucleosis, delaying the start of his Lakers career for an indefinite period.
He will not be ready for the start of training camp next Tuesday. There is no date for his return.

Sun Yue isn’t the first player to fall ill with the Lakers. Back in 1991…oh nevermind.
