Next Generation Prius Can Be Charged With Any Electrical Outlet

Gotta hand it to Toyota. Even though its cars look, well, just OK, it sure as hell is going full bore into hybrid technology.
The latest development concerns the next generation Prius. Toyota has figured out how to charge the car’s batteries simply by using any standard domestic electrical outlet. Obviously this makes the idea of an electric car all the more attractive, as you’re not limited to some esoteric charge station to top off your car.
It’s not all wine and roses, though. The Prius can actually only drive six miles on electricity. Yeah, that’ll improve over time, but for now it’s quite limiting.
And no, it’s not a “toy-yota,” as its top speed is 105mph. That’s plenty fast to get you to the mall or whatever, right?
The new Prius will be on a trial of sorts for at least a year before it sees any sort of mass production.
