Reason One Kajillian We Love The MMA—The Double Kick To The Groin

One of the wonders of Mixed Martial Arts, and one of the reasons we love it so, are the excesses it prescribes to–the violence, women and money (at least for Dana White). You have to admit the first time you laid eyes on a UFC octagon or a windmill kick, you got that eerie suspicion that these are the games for the end times–something that would come out of Robocop as a parody of boxing. And so it was on display during the fight between Mirko Cro Cop and Alistair Overeem, two fighters duking it out with great abandon, the most horrific non-death injury we’ve heard about since Windy Tomomi did this. We now cut to the injury, already in progress…

The fight was interrupted as Overeem hit Filipovic in the groins. The Croatian fighter was given medical assistance, but soon recovered. He got up, however, he suffered another kick in the groins. The Dutchman got a yellow card.

Mirko Filipovic`s corner informs that his right testicle has entered his body and they doubt he would be able to continue the fight. After more than five minutes of medical assistance, the fight was interrupted, but nobody was declared the winner since the injury was inflicted in a non-sportsmanship fashion.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mirko Cro Cop got kicked so many times in the nuts that one nut went into his body cavity… and they didn’t even give him the win! We don’t know which one would hurt us more… yeah, we guess our testicle being shoved into our body cavity.
