It’s a “Family Guy” world. We’re all just living in it. Apparently.
Yup, the show’s creator, producer, writer, actor and everything else, Seth MacFarlane, is about to expand his media empire by branching out online in a big way. He’s lined up to create a series of Web shorts for Fox that’s more experiment than set-in-stone hit, the first few of which hit the Net yesterday.

The thing is, if even like five people watch these things, Fox will consider the experiment a success, and it will change how Hollywood perceives online distribution. (As you might guess, Hollywood is still skittish on the whole matter.) That’s primarily because “Family Guy” is such a money maker that Fox is using it to test the water of this newfangled Internet thing.
The shorts will run on sites like YouTube (big surprise) and sethcomedy.com.
