Dolphins Owner H. Wayne Huizenga Hurries To Sell Team Before Obama Presidency

Like most Americans, Dolphins owner H. Wayne Huizenga is counting down the days until George W. leaves office (it’s true… check the stats). But it’s not because he hates W., but because he fears the–according to him–incoming Obama presidency would be a hindrance on his sale of the Dolphins and cost him millions of dollars.
“He wants to double the capital-gains tax, or almost double it,” Huizenga told the Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. “I’d rather give it to charity than to him.”
Uhhh, he does know Obama doesn’t actually pocket the money sent to the government, right? Or does he think he’d funnel it to the secret socialist, terrorist groups he’s got in his back pocket (a very valuable PAC to have, btw)?
Huizenga is set to sell up to 45 percent of the team to Stephen Ross, who already purchased 50 percent of the team and Dolphin Stadium for $550 million earlier this year. NFL owners approved the transfer this month so it can take place any time.
“If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes,” Huizenga said.
The Obama camp said Huizenga’s numbers are all wrong, explaining to the newspaper that the capital gains tax would only go up from 15 percent to 20 percent, a 33 percent increase, not a doubling of the tax.
Yeah, Huizenga. So this way, all he’d have to give up is two gold plated tanks instead of five and the monkey butlers can still work the Christmas party.
