Halo 3: Recon Coming Fall 2009

We hate to brag but, you know, we were right about that Halo expansion for the Xbox 360. It feels good to be right. The game, called Halo 3: Recon and just announced by Microsoft in Tokyo, is a stand-alone expansion to Halo 3. That means, or at least should mean, that you don’t actually need a copy of Halo 3 to play it. This time around you’re not controlling the familiar Master Chief, but instead an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, whatever the hell that is. Check out the video after the jump to find out.

The game is due for release fall, 2009. Provided we haven’t all descended into the Dark Ages by then, it should be a hit, despite the fact that Microsoft has gone overboard with its pimping of the Halo franchise.
