On YouTube, Watch A Video And Buy A Game (Or Song)

Google bought YouTube about two years ago, and it finally may have found a way to make money off it: selling games (and music). Real games, too, not like “Punch the monkey and win a shot of tequila.” Not that there’s anything wrong with punching a monkey and winning a shot of tequila; that sounds great, actually.
Google is experimenting with running ads along the bottom of certain videos, starting first with game videos. Say you’re watching something like “the best fatalities of the Mortal Kombat series.” Right by the video will be a link to Amazon from where you can buy the game.
The same thing goes with music: if you’re watching some old school Nas joint, an ad will be there so you can buy the album.
It’s a long overdue move on Google’s part (from Google’s perspective) if it intends to make any amount of money off YouTube.
Now where’s that shot of tequila?
