How drunk you get on the weekends (or weekdays) is your own business, but Google has stepped in to make sure you don’t needlessly embarrass yourself when you use Gmail. With Mail Goggles, Google has created a way to help you stop sending e-mails while you’re inebriated. Now if they could do anything about angry emails, that would make emails the best thing ever.

Mail Goggles, which is an optional feature in Gmail, puts several math problems between you and sending an e-mail. It’s only enabled late nights during the weekend, when you’re most likely to get smashed at a bar, then come home and send all sorts of e-mail that you really shouldn’t.
Say, when Friday night comes around and you’re bad at your place and you think it’s a good idea to send an e-mail to your ex-girlfriend, or her sister, saying something that you’d never say when sober. When you try to send the message, up pop the math problems you see here. If you answer any of them wrong, Gmail will assume you’re drunk as a skunk and will refuse to send the message.
And thus, you’re saved from looking like a complete jackass by Google. Google has earned its money for the day, that’s for sure.
