The NBA Returns To Satellite Radio (The XM Half, At Least)
3 October 2008, 4:30 PM. By Alex Ferreyra

Now that the Sirius-XM merger is well and truly behind us (thank God), we can look forward to all sorts of shared content, right? Right, but only sorta. If you go ahead and call Sirius (or XM) and request the “best of” package, you could be listening to Stern on XM or Opie and Anthony on Sirius right now. Maybe the merger was worth it all along?
Shock jocks aside, there’s actually some good news for sports fans here.
The NBAlooks to be returning to satellite radio, this time on XM. (It used to be on Sirius.) Apparently XM is trying to get the home of Kobe and KG to play ball and let it be offered on XM’s “best of” content. That way, it would be available to owners of Sirius radios, too. More subscribers=more advertisers=more revenue. Gotta pay the bills somehow.
As for prices, to get “best of” content from the other service (this assumes you’re already an XM or Sirius subscriber), you’ll need to pony up an additional $4 per month. Seems reasonable to us.
