While we’re big supporters of touchdown celebrations, they have to be A) creative and B) done properly for us to really appreciate them. Last night’s almost celebration by Denver’s Brandon Marshall was cockblocked by his teammate Brandon Stokely because it failed on both counts. He was going to put on a black glove after scoring the go-ahead touchdown to celebrate Barack Obama’s election, which is a rip off of Tommie Smith and John Carlos in the 1968 Olympics. But Stokley stopped him because it would’ve been a penalty in a close game with 1:14 left, and who knows what would’ve happened once McCain supporter and Browns QB Brady Quinn got on the field.
Check out the block after the jump.
