Goal Of The Day: Carlos Vela Lobs It In To Put It Away For Arsenal Against Wigan

Sure Arsenal threw their kids out to the Wigan wolves in their Carling Cup quarterfinal victory, but that’s how they build their character. The team of young’uns beat the Manchester team 3-0, but Mexican Carlos Velez had the capper, a gorgeous 18 yard strike that lobbed in right behind the Wigan keeper. The win advanced the Gunners to the final eight of the Carling Cup.
