Goal Of The Day: Heurelho Gomes Will Be Resting For A Bit

Here at the Goal of the Day headquarters, we always highlight the great goal scorers. But what about the other side of the coin. the goals that go in because of incredibly inept goalkeepers? Enter one Heurelho Gomes, Tottenham’s seemingly former keeper. We say that because after this blunder that lost Spurs a point against Fulham, and an earlier gaffe against Udinese while Juande Ramos was still in charge, it looks like the Brazliian Spurs paid PSV Eindhoven £7 million to take of their hands will be replaced by Harry Redknapp. By who? If Redheaded Harry has any say, it’ll be Manchester United’s backup goalie Ben Foster, who has never started a game in his career. Yikes.
