Goal Of The Day: Leo Messi Sloshes His Way To A Score

Forget all this humbug talk about Lionel Messi’s head being full of Diego Maradona. He and his Barca teammates took to a soggy field at La Rosaleda against Malaga and completely blew them away, showing that nothing short of a blinding snowstorm can stop them. Xavi had two scores, but this Messi goal for us was a highlight. From about 15 yards out, through two defenders, pretty much stuck in a puddle and at an extreme angle, the Argentine still gets it in the net. That’s focus… Maradona be damned.
