We missed it a few days ago, but we’re not in the habit of watching Idaho’s local news broadcasts.
An enterprising reader has pointed us to this link, which reveals the coach beating brutality of Nampa High School running back Kipton Ramos, who was indicted late last month on assault charges for the incident.

The fight moves out of the frame of the videotape, but several seconds later, the player comes back into the picture. A man in a maroon-colored shirt, later identified as head coach Scott Wooldridge, tries to intervene and calm down Ramos. The player can be seen hitting and punching Wooldridge.

The coach is seen doubled over as other coaches and officials come to his aid. The tape shows Ramos walking off the other direction.

Wooldridge went to the hospital with a broken nose and eye socket.

Ramos is charged with felony aggravated battery. He was suspended from school for 10 days and removed from the football team.

He is due back in court on Dec. 15 for a preliminary hearing. Ramos’ attorney plans to review the tape before the case goes back to court.

As you might recall, we uncovered what we think is Ramos’ MySpace page a few weeks back (here), which apparently revealed the young man to be, at the very least, less than remorseful. Nothing’s changed, really, though the page now features a picture of the running back in a tuxedo.
Classy. You know, for the ladies.
