So what makes a group of Bolivian soccer players attack a group of riot police armed to the teeth? Cocaine? [Ed Note: Dammit!] As much as we didn’t want to go there, we could think of no other reason players from Bolivian champs Aurora could go bananas on the po-lice that was asked to escort one of their own–Eduardo Zenteno–from the field. Why? Because Zenteno decided he didn’t want to leave after the ref bounced him. And not only did they attack the armed with their fists and karate kicks (!) during their match against rivals Wilstermann, but check out Mr. Goalkeeper Silvio Dulcich use a corner flag to try to beat those helmets in! Hey, just an FYI Silvio, just because you can stop balls flying at your face doesn’t mean you can stop bullets.
And for those wondering, yes Aurora did win the match 1-0. Check out the real highlights (the fight) after the jump.
