Blasphemy! Remake Of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s They Live On Its Way

We don’t ask much of life. A warm bed, warm woman and don’t remake our favorite movies of all time. Well, isn’t that like life to tell us we’re ending a beautiful day with this tidbit—Universal is going to remake the legendary cult classic They Live. Now, when we were younger, like everyone in our demographic, we had a great love for anything wrestling. So when we saw that Roddy Piper was going to be in a film (with Keith David!), we had to rush to see it. Of course we were under 17 then, and our dad had to go with us. Needless to say, it was one of the most wonderful moments of our life, my dad and I plowing away at one of the best bad movies of all time. Sure, the pace is plodding, the acting is wooden and the graphics are cheesy, but that doesn’t mean there needs to be a remake. Please Universal, don’t take that memory away from us. Just let it be. But if you do, at least remake it using the characters from South Park.
