ESPN Deportes’ Carolina Guillen Says She’s The “Latina Erin Andrews”

Last week we told you that ESPN Deportes was celebrating its fifth anniversary of bringing our families together over a good Dominican Baseball League game and highlights of the latest Chivas or Boca Juniors match. One personality who’s been there from the beginning is Carolina Guillen, who hosts Béisbol Esta Noche and previously everywhere on the station. So when we caught an interview with her, we were intrigued. We didn’t know too much about her, and after reading the piece at the LAist, we liked what we read. Well, most of it. One piece stuck in our craw though, and that’s the response to being asked about hummana-hummana ESPN Gringada reporter Erin Andrews.

It’s funny because I always see her working next to me in the big events, the only difference between us is the language, but the message, the work and the feedback we receive from the audience is the same. In fact, once somebody told me that I was the “Latina Erin Andrews.”

OK, sure, she didn’t say she was the next Erin Andrews, but she’s still relaying that someone thought it. Our mom says we’re the next Will Leitch, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to around wearing black t-shirts and getting floppy haircuts, right? Seriously, Carolina’s a hottie no doubt, but come on.
